Posted by

A grim discovery of a severed foot was made New Years Day by beachgoers. The foot was found at a site known as Jetty Island on the shores of the Salish Sea.

No other remains were found.

This strange and gruesome discovery is not the first. In fact it goes back to 2007 when the first severed foot was found.

According to an article written by Tim Binnall, the total number of severed feet found in the Pacific Northwest is 20.  (14 in British Columbia and 6 in America)

The British Columbia Coroners Service has produced a map with images and locations of feet found.
